Another month, another Raptr report. Yesterday Raptr.com published its most played PC games list for November and MMOs did quite well. Unsurprisingly, World of Warcraft surged up the list to #2 due to the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Raptr's press release says that "The game's monthly playtime was up 71% versus October." Although WoW "likely” drew from League of Legends numbers, it could not quite replace the MOBA's top position.

ArcheAge playtime fell by 39.97 percent, however World of Tanks (and Final Fantasy XIV) had an increase in their playtime. Raptr states that Guild Wars 2 rose in rank, but it lost playing time in November over October. SWTOR fell two places from October.

Raptr roundups come with the caveat that they only represent Raptr users on PC. Some MMO studios also increase Raptr numbers by offering incentives in game. But since certain games are unable to publish data on population it is possible to consider this the next best snapshot of popularity other than navigating the servers yourself.

Dragon Age: Inquisition and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare debuted in the list of games that are most played this month. World of Warcraft's latest expansion has given the ten-year-old MMO an upsurge and Spider Solitaire was a surprise to make it back into the top 20 after an absence of more than a full year. The guilty parties know who they are.

Highlights

League of Legends remained in first place in November, despite losing 15.88 percent of its playtime when compared to October. The game's peak was at the first week of November, following LoL's Halloween sales event. While the game was stable for most of the month, there were a few delays due to the 4.20 update.

World of Warcraft's Warlords of Draenor likely took time away from LoL along with other major games. The average monthly time spent playing the MMO was up 71.3 percent over October. As is expected, daily playtime was affected by the expansion as well as the game's ten-year anniversary celebrations. The game's play time nearly doubled following Draenor's launch and remained strong until the end of November.

The other top five games weren't as lucky. DOTA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Smite saw a net decrease in the time. Smite beat ArcheAge for fifth place. DOTA 2 and CS.GO saw double-digit decreases (12.59 percent and 11.59 percent, respectively) however Smite was down less that 1percent.

Archeage, meanwhile, cratered by 39.97%; hence Smite's modest climb up the ranks.

The downward trend continued with Minecraft (-11.70 percent), Diablo III (down nearly 45 percent -we blame WoW for this) and Hearthstone (-13.11%), although we expect a rebound in December thanks to Goblins vs Gnomes).

Chart newcomer Dragon Age, Inquisition, landed in tenth position despite a November release.

While slipping in the ranks, World of Tanks managed to gain 7.72% play time in comparison to October. While the WGLNA Gold League Qualifying Rounds were held throughout the month, the game was at its highest during the Thanksgiving weekend because of the XP multipliers, holiday sales on premium items and the Thanksgiving weekend.

Final Fantasy XIV saw a 20.97% increase in play time. The increase can be attributed to the late October and early November hotfixes to this game, as well as the release of the Game of the Year edition that offered additional 60 free days of adventure (plus all previously released content). pubg qa Mid-month DDOS attacks caused login problems however, didn't have a major impact on game play.

Warframe and Guild Wars 2 each rose in ranking despite a decrease in play time in November compared to October. Warframe held an Movember community event that led to a Guinness World Record. Guild Wars 2's Tangled Path content released with new areas items, skins, and more.

Call of Duty: Advance Warfare is always an Xbox juggernaut - was released in November. Based on current trends we may not see it in December’s Most Played.

For the first time since October 2013, Spider Solitaire made its return to Most Played. It turns out that Thanksgiving is not just about football, turkey and fighting with family members -- it's also about Solitaire. The 27th of November was the peak day for Solitaire gameplay.

Note The Share number for each game is the amount of time spent on that title by Raptr members. It is useful to assess the time of play between different games.
