NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.
"It is thrilling to once again see an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019" stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 epidemic was announced, we had record-breaking tourism entry numbers month after month; We're thrilled to witness such a positive shift and anticipate a steady upward trajectory for months and years to come."
Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August witnessed 6,000.
