Minecraft has seen its fair share of recreations. There are plenty of blocky take on other media, whether it is a YouTuber doing a twisty version of Tetris or a fan creating their own Dark Souls-inspired game. It's only natural then, to know that there's a whole host of people out there creating Lord of the Rings-inspired Minecraft builds. gaming

While many of the builds we write about tend to be massive in scale and intricacy, this one from DesignMinion is all about the tiny details. DesignMinion posted a Reddit clip of a new door that they had created. It is a stunning recreation of The Mines of Moria. Some people laugh at the idea of it leading to a mine while others think it's a tomb. This door is beautiful, that's all we know.

It's almost like you're browsing an IKEA catalog, looking at it. The line art is made from white concrete blocks. The stone texture was made from stone, deepslate and cyan Terracotta. It also includes stone'staircases', which increase towards the south to make stone greyer.

DesignMinion created this canvas in Photoshop, copied the Tolkien artwork and turned it into four maps.

Another outstanding detail is The Watcher. This is a tiny squid-eating Kraken in this version, but a great addition to the normal world. The side effect of Sildur's Vibrant Shadowrs v1.32 medium that DesignMinion uses makes it glow is called Sildur's VIBrant Shaders Medium. Although it's not a big deal, it's an amusing nod to the Lord of the Rings.
