For many, the biggest drawback of Minecraft's Pocket and Windows 10 Editions has been the lack of community-generated content. What's the point of playing Minecraft on your smartphone if you aren't able to try that cool new texture pack that you saw on your PC? This is your chance to try it. Microsoft and Mojang have announced a Marketplace that lets Pocket and Windows 10 gamers download content from community creators, such as skins, textures and whole worlds. Instead of purchasing paid content, you can purchase "Minecraft Coins" that allow you to purchase extras you want. Although it helps to mask the actual value of what you're purchasing, it is actually used by producers to set "flexible pricing." It's possible that you don't want your children to have unlimited access to the internet.



The Marketplace only permits creators with registered businesses, so it won't be able to take your project that's just for fun. However, those that do join receive a 70 percent cut of the revenue similar to typical mobile app stores. Although they may not make as much directly, a merchant who is successful can still make lots of money.



Access to the Marketplace will be limited at first. Golfup The beta version of the Marketplace will be available to the public by mid-April. There will be no creator content, and the content will have to wait until the official launch in spring. It's still a good way to make a difference between your Minecraft experiences on mobile devices and those on PCs.
