"We've handed Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition over to Sony to be tested for the final time!" reads the brief message issued in conjunction with the image above. As we reported in the last month, Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition comes with several exclusive features, including support for the DualShock 4 touchpad, save game transfers between PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and "a number of DLC that is exclusive to Sony to be released shortly after the release."

After Minecraft is released for the PlayStation 4, owners of the game on PS3 can upgrade to the new version for $5. Developer 4J Studios has yet to announce a date (or even a vague window) for the game's launch, however barring any catastrophes during testing we expect more information soon. [Image: 4J Studios]
