Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family that was a faith-based one, and was surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Oyakhilome Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace upon her son from a young age.
The whole family is actively engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken, his brother, is the revered minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) which is where many gospel musicians are among the top-selling artists worldwide.
Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, who is also referred to by the name of CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow the example of her father, sharing the Word of God the world. She is a talented gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained a BSc. in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He is a recipient of an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he discovered his calling to serve the Lord and become a minister.

The group would later grow to be the basis for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers worldwide.
Under Pastor Chris's leadership, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station broadcast out of Africa to the the world, 24 hours a day, nonstop on free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations all over the globe.
