Beetlejuice, one of Tim Burton's first films, is simply saturated with the black humor that is so characteristic of this director. It tells the story of a marriage: Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis).

After dying in a car accident, they return home as ghosts. It turns out, however, that it was put up for sale. The family moves in: mean, overbearing Delia (Catherine O'Hara), her subordinate husband Charles (Jeffrey Jones) and daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder).

Adam and Barbara will do everything to prevent their home from being devastated by intruders. Among this "everything" there will also be a request for help addressed to a certain Beetlejuice ... Death bursts into a perfectly arranged, idyllic life. Tragedy. Misfortune. However, of course, it is only the beginning of a new "life". Burton did his best in creating this contrast. It is thanks to him that the overall impression of the film is very positive. The actors' performance deserves great praise. I was especially attracted by the role of Winona Ryder, who, despite her young age (17 years), perfectly played the role of dark, even bizarre Lydia. I also recommend listening to film music. The soundtrack used, among others, the song by Harry Belafonte entitled "Jump in the line", which we can hear in the last scenes of the film. It perfectly complements and sums up the whole story. I separately assess the title character. He is certainly the most colorful character in the movie.

Michael Keaton was simply great in his role, he perfectly captured the character of Beetlejuice - a specialist in getting rid of the living. The appearance of Trejik is also very important: in dirty clothes, with a messy hairstyle, he is very credible.

We are inclined to believe that this is what a bio-exorcist should look like. Looking at him, it's not surprising that he won an Oscar for make-up.

The movie is really worth watching. It is a duty for Burton fans, but there is also something for others. Take a look and remember, because maybe some beetle juice will also come to you ...
